Conference: David Cameron’s speech

Mark Garnier was again on the stage for David Cameron's big conference speech, joining other candidates and members of the Shadow Cabinet. Cameron's speech marked the finale of an upbeat, but serious conference - the last one before a General Election. 

Speaking after, Mark said: "This was a perfect speech for the moment. David Cameron has proved that he understands the issues that are facing this country, that he has a plan to deal with these problems, and that he is the safe hand on the tiller that proves he is undoubtedly fit to be this country's next Prime Minister.

"When I go back to Wyre Forest, I can do so with my head held high knowing that the Conservative Party is going to be dealing with issues that face my constituents."
