Shadow Secretary of State for Trade, Industry and Energy Alan Duncan MP was a visitor to Kidderminster on Monday when he talked to business students at Kidderminster College.
The visit was organised by Mark Garnier who is a governor at Kidderminster College.
Alan Duncan was there at the invitation of the Kidderminster College business unit and spent an hour talking to business studies students about politics, the economy and how Conservative plans can help aspirational young entrepreneurs in Wyre Forest. His talk concluded with an extensive question and answer session where topics as diverse as globalization, green issues, road charging and the Iraq War were debated.
Speaking afterwards, Alan Duncan commented: "It was a pleasure to meet with Kidderminster's students and it was very encouraging to see how in tune with what is going in they were."
Mark Garnier added: "I am very grateful to Alan for taking the trouble to come to Kidderminster. With Wyre Forest being in a peculiar and unique political space, it is important that the next generation of Wyre Forest residents get a chance to put their views to the policy making process."
