Work and Pensions Secretary Rt Hon Iain Duncan-Smith MP was a recent visitor to Kidderminster. Coming on the invitation of local MP Mark Garnier, Iain came to visit the Family Intervention Project, based at the Birchen Coppice School.
FIP provides a resource that brings together various agencies dedicated to helping chaotic families. Having met with case workers, Iain then visited a local family to see firsthand how the work benefits local families and communities.
Speaking later, Mark Said: "It was a great pleasure to have Iain come to Wyre Forest. The work we are doing locally is incredibly important. Having Iain come and see it firsthand gives us a chance to demonstrate that the FIP is something that can be rolled out nationally. The benefits we are finding locally can be helpful across the country."
