Kemp Hospice hosted its second annual Santa Fun Run on Sunday, when nearly 300 fundraisers put on their Santa outfits to run 10 Km to raise funds for Kemp Hospice.
Mark Garnier joined the organisers and other volunteers to help with marshalling the runners as made their way from Brinton Park to Wolverley and back. After the event, Mark said: “I am delighted this is becoming an annual event. Seeing Kemp’s Santa fun-runners is as much a part of the Christmas festivities as is the switching on of all our towns’ Christmas lights.
“As I was watching the runners go past, I was struck by how much of an important part of our local community Kemp is – not just because of the incredibly important work they do, but because they bring the local community together is so many different ways. Around 300 people were involved on Sunday, plus all their sponsors, and that is an important thing to be part of – and it was all down to the hard work of all the staff and helpers at Kemp Hospice.”
