Mark Garnier, Member of Parliament for Wyre Forest, welcomes the recent announcement that at least £1 million of Lottery good cause funding is to be channelled into the Horsefair, Broadwaters and Greenhill areas of Kidderminster.
The announcement was made on Tuesday by the Big Lottery Fund (BIG) which is to invest up to £200 million over the next ten years. So far 50 urban and rural areas across England have been named as beneficiaries of the scheme which is targeting neighbourhoods where many people face multiple barriers to meeting their needs.
Upon hearing the news Mark said "this is fantastic news for the people of Horsefair, Broadwaters and Greenhill and indeed, the wider area of Kidderminster. This money will enable local people to make their communities better places to live, now and in the future and I am delighted"
