Mark Garnier, MP for Wyre Forest, paid tribute to Betty Yates and Reverend John Suddard in the House of Commons today.
Addressing the Deputy Prime Minister while the Prime Minister conducts official business in the Arabian Peninsula, Mark asked that the Deputy Prime Minister join him in sending condolences to the families of Stephen Farrow's victims at this difficult time. He also praised the efforts of the Police service in bringing this tragic case to a swift conclusion with a successful conviction. Farrow has been sentenced to two life-sentences, with no chance of parole.
Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg added his praise for the Police and wished the families well.
Mark said, "I am extremely grateful to the Police for their swift action in this terrible case, ensuring that this murderer will spend the rest of his life behind bars. But that is small consolation to the families of the victims, who have suffered a terrible loss at the hands of this monster. However, justice has been done and done effectively and efficiently."
