Mark Garnier, MP for Wyre Forest, is taking action on local unemployment. With recent announcements of job losses in Wyre Forest adding to an existing problem, Mark is organising a local jobs fair to be held in Kidderminster Town Hall.
The event, taking place on 29th March, will host some of Wyre Forest's biggest private and public sector employers. Smaller companies are also confirmed to attend as well as the armed services and employment and training agencies.
For the more entrepreneurial residents of Wyre Forest, there will also be a dedicated self employment section offering business advice to those looking to set up their own businesses.
Speaking about the event, Mark said:
"The purpose of this jobs fair is to link up local people looking for jobs with as many potential employers as possible. Looking for work can, in itself, be hard work. But there are jobs in Wyre Forest and I wanted to create an opportunity to link those looking for staff with those looking for work."
Everyone looking for work is very welcome, and Mark would like to hear from any employer who would like to exhibit at the jobs fair. Details can be found onfacebook, twitter and Mark's website. Telephone enquiries can be made at 01562 746771.
