Mark Garnier, MP for Wyre Forest, celebrated English Tourism Week last week by visiting local tourist hotspots, Harvington Hall, Lickhill Manor Caravan Park and Grow with Wyre in Callow Hill.
Speaking about his visits Mark said,
“English Tourism Week 2012 was an opportunity for the tourism industry to showcase itself in what will be a year to remember and Wyre Forest did not miss out. I thoroughly enjoyed my visits to Harvington Hall, Lickhill Manor Caravan Park and Grow with Wyre, all of which were preparing for the rush of tourists in the summer.
“The Government has recently launched an advertising campaign encouraging us to holiday in the UK this summer. I am proud that Wyre Forest has such excellent attractions where huge numbers of people come and enjoy themselves. Local destinations such as those I visited are testament to what a great ‘stay-cation’ in Wyre Forest has to offer.”
In his ongoing work supporting Wyre Forest Tourism, yesterday, Mark attended a reception hosted by the British Association of Leisure Parks, Piers and Attractions (BALPPA), of which the West Midlands Safari Park is a member.
Mark is also organising a day in April where a group of MPs and their families can come and visit the Severn Valley Railway. The day will be an excellent showcase for one of Wyre Forest’s most popular and historic attractions.
